How to Do the Elmsley Count

The Elmsley Count is a basic card sleight that is very important to learn. Like the double lift, it is used in many more advanced card tricks.

What is it?

With the Elmsley Count, you are able to hide certain cards in the deck. It is mainly used when you are performing a trick that uses less than 10 cards. With the move, you are able to count the cards in the deck, showing the audience, while keeping certain cards hidden from their view.

So, you are able to have more cards in your hand than the audiences thinks is in the pile.
