This is one of the easiest tricks for beginners, and doesn’t involve much set up or practice. You’ll be ready to perform it for an audience probably after only one trial run.
What it looks like
Take an empty Tic Tac box and a normal penny. Wave the penny around the exterior of the plastic box, and on the final wave the penny magically transports inside without the lid ever being opened.
What you will need
2 Pennies and an empty Tic Tac box.
Where can you get an empty Tic Tac box? They’re pretty much at every convenience store and drug store around the world.
How is this done?
Yes, of course there HAS to be a second penny, right? It’s a magic trick, it doesn’t actually transport itself through the plastic.
The first penny will is placed inside the box before the trick is performed. It is actually covered by the label sticker.
The cool part is that you don’t even need to open the lid to do this, so the sticker stays intact. All you need to do is squeeze the top of the box (the side with the lid) and the penny will be able to slide right in. Once you let go, the penny will remain squeezed perfectly hidden from view.
To release it, simply squeeze the top part again.
So the only thing left to do is to get rid of the first penny without being noticed by spectators. It is actually very easy to do. Watch the tutorial video to learn how.
